AMD Athlon XP Processor
I have Athlon XP 1900+ (1.6GHZ) processor that is based on Palomino core. With special copper heatsink, temperatures do not rise more than 60 oC on 100% CPU load, but with standard one it climbs to 75 oC. Nice processor, stable and reliable (with special heatsink and no overclock), good...

Review of AMD XP
I have an AMD Athlon XP processor and AMD XP heat sink. It seems to do the job, but it's probably the fan that does most of the work. The sink is aluminium. Aluminium is a good metal for destroying heat, but not so much for carrying it, so most of the heat doesn't leave the CPU area. Copper is...

Review of AMD Athlon XP Processor
The AMD Athlon XP processor is great. 2.0 (well, more precisely, 1.99) gHz means good performance, and is just what most people need. It can cope with all the latest technology demands, from gaming to Google Earth! My average CPU temperature is around 55c, but I guess that's good considering...

I installed the CPU on an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard. I wanted an average speed 266MHz processor for my applications. This particular AMD Athlon processor is being phased out and is being replaced by the AMD Sempron, The AMD 2200 Sempron was actually cheaper but it is not compatible with the...

When I built a new machine for my mom there was no question that I would use an AMD XP processor. This one has proven to be exactly what I have come to expect from AMD. If you are going to run Windows XP, these are smoking processors. I have 2 machines and I run AMD Athon XP processors in both....

I purchased this processor, and other components, as an upgrade for my son's computer last Christmas. He is really into the latest games and at the time this processor was more "middle of the road" in cost and performance. After the upgrade he was able to play all of his games without any...

I put this in a low budget "kitchen computer" for the family. Along with an LCD flat screen, this has turned out to be an excellent PC. Eveyone uses it: checking up on traffic in the morning, checking the movie times, reading the news, etc... It works great as a music jukebox too, since the PC is...

I first bought the 2000+ chip for my computer about 1 1/2 years ago and have loved it ever since. Now, when I build a computer for my friends or family, I usually suggest the 2000+ for its price and stability. I get the retail box for the 3-yr warranty just to give them piece of mind but I...

As always, the AMD processor is stable and costs much less than a comparable Intel. The retail version comes with an extra tall heatsink and it's needed. The processor runs hot, but so far no problems. Detailed step by step instructions make installation a snap. I have it on a MSI micro ATX...

The AMD Athlon XP 2000+ is a very good retail processor for the price. It is a speed demon and installation was a snap and I would recommend this product because if you're on a budget and you don't want to compromise performance, the Athlon 2000+ is the way to go
