WE bought and returned this phone 3 times because of the static and numerous problems
I liked the multiple handsets. After about two weeks the phones, all three that we purchased, would crackle befor it would ring and after hanging up. Extremely annoying

NICE PHONE SYSTEM
THE HOME BASE PHONE MAKES A CLICKING OR TRYING TO CONNECT SOUND JUST PRIOR TO RINGIN OR WHEN HANGING UP THE PHONE. NOT REALLY SURE WHY THAT OCCURS, EVEN WHEN USING ONE OF THE OTHER HANDSETS.

Good, reliable product. Worth paying a few dollars more.
Very good sound quality even when using the speaker phone feature. And the ability to retrieve voice mail from any phone is a great convenience. With VoIP (I've had both Vonage and Skype) it's a great benefit to just plug one phone into the route

Have had this product for about a year and works great! Only one phone jack needed. Just plug the extra handsets into an electrical outlet and you are all set.
