Good phone, moderate handset speaker sound

Got this phone to supplement existing panasonic phone (excessive talking!). The talking caller-id is especially helpful to filter out tele-marketers during dinner time. The handset speaker volume is moderate only at the highest setting.

Avoid this GE phone at all costs

This phone is junk. The handsets forget that they belong to the base unit frequently, so it is likely that you will not be able to place or take a call from anywhere other than the base unit without reconfiguring the hand set at the base unit....
