toner cartridge ran out fast

I have had my Canon C320 2 months, and have made aprox 450 copies and am now getting light streaks when I copy. I called Canon and was told the $100+ toner has a 15 Day warranty. Thats about 20 cents a copy. Not a very economical machine.
