PROS: Big screen, processor is fast enough for most tasks, including making slide shows and other videos.
CONS: The touch screen software, such as the photo organizer and editor, is not very sophisticated. Could not test all functions, due to 2 defects. See below.

PROS: Not your garden variety pantsy netbook. Comes with processing power quite a bit faster than low-powered Intel and good graphics for light gaming, but not so light it looks ridiculous like all the netbooks out there (except Asus N10).
CONS: Does not switch off the on-board ATI for battery consumption, thus draining battery considerably. This alone has drawn some pretty harsh criticism among people who have gotten so used to netbooks.

PROS: Touch screen is awesome and completely intuitive. Good battery life and fun to use. The keyboard is smooth and comfortable. And reasonably quick and priced.

PROS: the hard drive size is nice, video is okay, the processor speed is good and the touch screen is accurate
CONS: this computer does not work with ANY of the major art programs (photoshop, painter, etc) it does not recognize pressure sensitivity in those programs. it has many digitizer problems that have to do with Ntrig, the screen maker. Avoid this computer!

PROS: It weighs quite a lot... so i guess a pro could be it has an alternate function as an anchor... or a doorstop... or a paperwieght
CONS: Upon arrival my shiny new HDX18 was great until i turned it on... The quick touch buttons didn't work and kept randomly turning the volume up and down and the wireless on and off. So i called HP for help... its been 3 months and counting. HP SUCKS!

PROS: Full keyboard, large 18.6 inch screen (LCD style), fingerprint lock, booming sound system for a laptop.
CONS: Battery life on high performance setting is MAYBE an hour, problems with keyboard when I first received it and had to ship it back for repair, (pressing letters generated other keys), smudges show up like it were made out of glass!
