PROS: Fun, easy to use with all the bells and whistles built in for everyday and complex digital photography. Large LCD that is viewable even against a strong sun-lit background. Movie and burst modes useful! Comes in 4 colours - yohoooo!

PROS: Sony DSC-W80 which takes excellent pictures but has too many settings for my wife. The Canon SD100 fits the bill perfectly for true "point and shoot" aficionado's. Small and comes in other colors besides silver and black.
CONS: No manual controls...just setting changes through a menu for different automatic settings Flash seems a bit bright but perhaps we just need to use it more often to get used to how this camera behaves under various conditions..

PROS: The size, capabilities, and price of the camera are great. Easy to attach to computer for offloading/uploading pictures.
CONS: After a little over a year, I got the "Lens error. Restart camera." Googling reveals a widely occurring problem with Canon cameras. As the camera is in a heavy duty protective case since day 1, we are confident that we have not abused the device.

PROS: Excellent design. Pinhole viewfinder. Great image quality.
