PROS: Rotating LCD is the best thing about this cam because I wanted to catch every movement with different angles. AAA batteries are plus too, we don't need to suffer for special batteries. 12 Megapixel is great.

PROS: I love how it's affordable (search the web for better prices) it's small, has video on it and it takes just great pictures. Easy to use and I use lithium batteries so running out of juice isn't a problem.
CONS: Going to a concert, it's hard to zoom in to the stage and to get a clear pic. Especially at night. I had to take quite a few pics and a lot of them streaked the lights. Also, regular batteries aren't the way to go. Lithium is the way to go.

Look up "canon a590 battery problem" and see what I mean. Canon will let you do a warranty repair - but if you have other choices, why go through the hassle. I've been out $230+ and I do not have a reliable camera.

CONS: Can not use as "change battery" message comes up even on freshly charged batteries.

PROS: The Canon produces great pictures - what a shame there are things that let it down.
CONS: As with the previous reviewers the camera keeps zeroing the time and date - very irritating.
