Good lesson

Great book to emphasis that not being "perfect" is ok. People appreciate different values in others. Adborable character. Would recommend for boy or girl.

This book was ahead of its times socially and racially.

This book is one of the best that I've read to my kids. I say this as a dad who's read countless children's books for the last three years. The story is genuinely warm and satisfying, and the illustrations are first-rate. I suppose you can find many other children's books with these qualities....

A favorite in our house!

Our 7 month old son absolutely loves this book! I was a little disappointed when I first received the book, since I had read online that the Corduroy story taught a positive message to kids, teaching them not to judge someone based on their appearance alone. However this story is basically just a...

AWFUL!! Still Haven't Recieved - WORST Customer Service EVER!

ATROCIOUS! I will NEVER buy ANYTHING again from DVD Legacy - They haven't gotten me my book or given me any sufficient update on when I should (if ever) expect. I am furious as I have sent them 5 sincere emails asking when I shall receive a baby gift I expected a month ago which was a present...

asked for by my 3 year old

My 3 year old asked me to read this book to him at school... several times.I had to get it for Christmas. Besides being a classic, it has lots of wonderful themes (imagination, simplicity) and lessons (you don't have to be perfect, someone loves you, if you need to do something, do it etc.).

Favorite for Dad & Son

I read this to my 3 year-old about once a week. He loves to finish each sentence. Every time we finish, he says that's a good story. Corduroy is a wonderful story with great illustrations. I personally enjoy reading each time.

Corduroy: a lesson in unconditional love.

Books bring us enjoyment, but they should also teach us as well. Corduroy does just that. A little bear who is not perfect (having lost his button) is accepted and loved by a little girl just because.....just because. Unconditional love, how can that be more endearing?

Wonderful book

We really enjoyed this book and reading it to our daughter - who is nearly three. It not only captivates her imagination but is full of wonderful old fashioned values - particularly of being "liked for the person who you are". I would highly recommend it.

A children's book this adult likes to read

Although I read all kinds of books as a kid, I never got to read Corduroy before last week when a friend of mine gave it to me.I wish I had known about it when I was teaching elementary school. I had some kids in my class that kinda fit that "I'm imperfect, somebody please love me" mode. This...
