What to Do When You Worry Too Much: A Kid's Guide to Overcoming Anxiety (What to Do Guides for Kids)
What to Do When You Worry Too Much is an interactive self-help book designed to guide 6-12 year olds and their parents through the cognitive-behavioral techniques most often used in the treatment of generalized anxiety. Metaphors and humorous illustrations make difficult concepts easy to understand, while prompts to draw and write help children to master new skills related to reducing anxiety. Engaging, encouraging, and easy to follow, this book educates, motivates, and empowers children to work towards change. Includes a note to parents by psychologist and author Dawn Huebner, Ph.D. more

Making a difference for us already
I got this book about a week ago when my seven-year-old daughter started expressing anxiety that my husband would not pick her up after school. It was to the point where she would not get out of the car at school. We have gone through about half of the book and are already seeing a huge...

My daughter has times when she is just fine and times when she worries about all sorts of things. I wasn't sure if I actually needed this book but I bought it because I thought it might help when she went through one of her periods of worry....and I am so glad that I did. A house in our...

for kids
This book was a good resourse for you to read WITH your child. had some helpful hints and tools to distract from the anxious episodes. It held the interest of my child and helped him to articulate some of his own feelings. NOT A CURE. But still useful.

I was worried my almost 11 year old...
would think this simple book was beneath him but he liked it -he did not do any of the activities but he was receptive to listening. We went over it in one night in about 30 minutes (it is very short- many pictures) but he has wanted the allocated "worry time" of about 15 minutes every night since.

Worry no more

Helpful workbook for most ages!
This workbook is a unique tool in explaining anxiety to children and a means for coping with it. The book creatively teaches the process of externalizing worries so they are not all consuming. Although written for children, it is good in concept for adults as well.

Great Book!
This book literally changed my 10 year old daughter's life. She had a tendency to worry about things that "might" happen. This book is an interactive tool that allows your child (or even an adult!) to work through anxiety, stress and worry. She completed the book six months ago and has not...
