This book is copy righted 2008. That would imply that it is current, at least through Windows Vista. Unfortunately this is not the case. While the copyright may have been refreshed recently, the information and pictures have not. I think it is okay at this point to limit the discussion of DOS to...

I am a new student on this field and I am reading this book at home even though I do not have much experience and the text is very explanatory and simple, friendly to read and understand. I recommend this book.
