At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Great sound
Replaced another home theater system's center speaker with this one. What a difference! Excellent sound, great styling, and the Bose name at a great low price. What more could you ask for

Great sound
I have used this speaker for several weeks now. It is great. I had no trouble with adjusting the volume to match my other speakers. The sound quality is very good, it has very clear sound which makes dialog very good which is needed for a center ch

Great product
Use it with other Bose speakers. If you have the Acoustimas system do NOT connect the VCS10 through the Acoustimass. DO connect it directly to the receiver. I had purchased the speaker, got home and tried it out. The sound was too low. I had to

Good sound, not the best
I picked this speaker because I wanted something that would look good on my tv, would produce accurate, detailed dialogue, and would be quality-built. So, all in all I suppose I got what I was looking for. I have a mixed-set (Infinity towers for ma

Don't mix and match
I purchased the VCS 10 a couple of years ago to go along with my 301's and 161's. I am pleased with the Bose sound, when matched with Bose speakers. They are clear and natural, making my home theater fun to enjoy. It annoys me to read negative review

What can I say? It's Bose!
I purchased this center channel speaker to replace my Sony center channel speaker. The main reason I chose this speaker, besides the fact that it is Bose, is because of the low profile. My old Sony speaker is more than twice as tall. I bought this

Great with Bose Speakers
I have a Yamaha 100 watt per ch RX-V461, with Bose 601 fronts ,161 surrounds, Bose VCS-10 center, with a 50 watt 10 inch Polk sub. The amp has a graphic equalizer built in for the center channel for adjustments and this VCS-10 sounds great. All I can

Matches older AR S45's great
I have this hooked up with 2 AR (Acoustic Research - pre audiovox takeover designed speakers) and a set of bose 161 rear's and the sound is excellent. I have an older amp (JVC RX-712) which is certainly underpowering the center and it still sounds e

I have owned the Bose VCS10 Center Channel for the past 3 years and have learned to live with it's sonic peculiarities and enjoy it's more positive aspects. I am one who finds the VCS10 actually better for listenning to music than movie dialogue....
PROS: Low profile Aesthetically pleasing No piercing high notes Does not draw undue attention to itself
CONS: Power Hungery Drivers Often Muffled Dialog in Home Theater Mode Hard to balance with rest of home theater speakers Could use more bass!!! Mid bass sounds "punchy" and at times and distorted when used for home theater music passages, eg. Titanic 1997 Irish
