Onkyo DX-7555 Audiophile-Grade CD Player, Digital Outputs, CD, MP3 CD, CD-R/RW Playback, VLSC Technology...
Your system's digital front-end is a vital link in the audio reproduction chain. The exacting process of retrieving digital data and converting it to analog without the influence of digital noise is a key determinant in assessing the class of different playback components. Also, the ability to control timing inaccuracies (jitter) is another crucial factor in the quality of audio reproduction of digital sources like CDs and MP3s. The Onkyo DX-7555 audiophile-grade CD player has been designed with these considerations in mind. With Onkyo's Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry (VLSC), the digital signal is protected from pulse noise. And with a super precision clock, a precise timing reference is maintained. By combining quality parts like a sophisticated 192 kHz/24-bit DAC with Onkyo's renowned build quality, the DX-7555 will deliver digital audio sources with the accuracy they deserve. Highly Recommended
Back in the early days of digital, I tried 3 CD players in a row. One Sony, one Denon. The third was purchased at a whopping price from a high end audio dealer whose recommendations had never before disappointed me. All of them introduced an annoying glare from high frequency instruments such as...

Highly Recommended
I was hesitant to order the Onkyo. The dealer said that it would take up to 2 months to get delivery. Plus, I am always distrustful of products that include superlatives in their names and this one describes itself as an "Audiophile CD Player." But with all the great reviews that it has gotten...

Best bang for the $
I dislike most music played on a DVD player. I have a two channel music system, and some old school floor speakers. The high end shop wanted me to spend a great deal on a upper end CD player. I found a great divide between big box and high end quality & prices. MSRP on this machine is $600.00. I...

An Excellent CD-player
I have been listening to my Onkyo DX-7555 for 9 days. My old Denon DRM-370 carousal HDCD player from 2001 with a Micropacific Burr-Brown DAC finally refused to recognize any CDs. After many hours of online research of reading reviews and checking prices for the best deal, I decided to buy the...

Thank you Onkyo!
Just when I thought I was doomed to playing my CD's on a DVD player or saving up thousands of dollars for a high end CD player, Onkyo goes against the grain and produces this gem.I've only had it for a few days, but I am in love with this player. There is a great review of this on Stereophile's...

Unbelievable CD Player
There is no point in saying much about this CD player other than that it is totally fabulous. The sound is tremendous. I immediately discarded my prior Rotel player, which had given me trouble for years and never sounded nearly this good. This unit blew the Rotel out of the water. The build...

Great CD Player for the price!
I found the Onkyo DX7555 an excellent match to my Primaluna Dialogue Two tube integrated amplifier. Smooth presentation with good detail. Display is easy to read at a distance and display brightness can be adjusted if needed. Remote intuitve to operate. Onkyo did a very nice job on the design....

Solid Value (And It Looks Good, Too!)
I know that CD players are kind of a forgotten product category these days, what with DVD players that do CD, and the growing popularity of server-based music systems. But if you have a two-channel audio-only system in your home, and want a great-sounding CD player that won't break your bank...

Great Player, Great Sound
I had a hard time dropping the 460 dollars on this player that would only play CDs. I have a Denon 5910 universal player that sounded amazing but wanted a separate player for only redbook CDs. Again as I said nearly 500 dollars seemed a little steep and I considered some of the Marantz CD players...

The Onkyo DX-7555 CD player doesn't have a carousel for playing 5 discs. It doesn't feature RS-232C control or have a fancy remote control. It doesn't support WMA, SACD or HDCD. It does, however, sport the look and feel of a high-end piece of machine
