60 Minutes - Diagnosis: Autism (February 18, 2007)
Air Date: 02/18/07 How early can a child be diagnosed with autism? Researchers at the University of California's M.I.N.D. Institute are trying to identify the symptoms in children as young as 1 year old. Even infants are being screened for early warning signs of this neurological disorder. The hope is that early intervention will reduce autism's most debilitating symptoms. Lesley Stahl reports on the effort to diagnose and treat a condition that affects one in every 150 children. This is an informative, progressive take on autism. The video comparison of typical to atypical children was compelling.

Don't waste your time buying this DVD! It is as shoddy a piece of journalism as you'll ever find. Frankly, the piece could have been done twenty years ago -- it sheds no new light on the subject whatsoever. The "experts" have little...

I enjoyed the DVD but thought it was going to be about Autism for the full 60 minutes but instaed it was only about 15 minutes and the price I paided was too much for that amount, I did enjoy what I did watch.
