I love that thing. A bit noisy when the tape stops or gets to the end and going backwards but that sound! Combined with Onkyo TX-SR606... I love tapes! Would recommend? O YES !!

I bought this deck to replace my old Sony deck that died after 17 years. The Onkyo TA-RW255 I have is barely beyond the warranty period of 1 year and it is already showing problems. Tape Deck A does not work any more. I can still use...

- Tried two units and got same problem
Got this unit from Vann's and A deck (play, not record deck)stopped working after about three weeks. Vann's (great place) replaced it. Second unit worked for about two months and then A deck went again. Enough said.

would rather buy a good 3 head deck like the old days, but this does what I need it to do, play a bunch of old cassettes. Sounds good

- works fine, but nothing special
we only bought this since we have an onkyo AV receiver and it integrates the controls/on off etc. Its a low end deck we only use for simple tape playback or dubbing, can't think of anything special about it except its cheap
