this is radar/laser detector, not a cop detector. if no radar/laser is being used by the officer, then it won't alert you. I've seen a few of my friends use this product. All are happy with it. I'm about to pick one up myself.

I like the new Cobra XRS R7 because people will not see
your radar or wiring or the display . I do not turn on the remote, you only need the remote to setup the divise. The sharp voice is better than the old models. Remote will not turn on...

Performs as advertised. Easy setup and mounting. Because of the fact that most people own two cars, the inclusion of two mounting brackets would have saved time and a small amount of money.

Although I was not satisfied with the product the company was really good on returning my money back with no hitten fees. Its range is not as good at it says to be. It gives lots of false warnings and not enough warning mile range.
