this is radar/laser detector, not a cop detector. if no radar/laser is being used by the officer, then it won't alert you. I've seen a few of my friends use this product. All are happy with it. I'm about to pick one up myself. read full review | report as inappropriate

This thing is a piece of junk. It does detect radar but just barley. Usually buy.com sells better products than this. If you want a decent radar detector for 40 dollars, buy a whistler. Cobra is another option; not that good but better than this. read full review | report as inappropriate
