Great flash for the money

Prior to this flash I used built in on my D200. I can tell you this is a night and day difference! I used it for some close qtr shots in a mid sized room and the photos came out without looking like it was taken with a flash. If you are just starting

Great value with a great function!

I use this flash for my Nikon D300, it is a good flash with all kind of functions that I need. I been use it when I shot some wedding pictures and for most indoor use with my 24-70mm lens. Compare to the SB-800 speedlight, the price of the SB-600 speedlight is more than great and the function...

Flash should be everyone's first buy

Without a decent flash you are at the whim of whatever light is available. Often times that light is simply inadequate to take a decent picture. The SB 600 (and 800/900) will increase your ability to take great pictures. Master the use of these and you may never need to visit a studio ever...

Great Flash

Love this flash, even though it took me a while to understand the difference between ittl fill flash and ttl normal triggering. I use the bounce feature with a diffuser for natural looking light. I bought inexpensive slave trigger lascr units to trigger a couple of cheap slaveflashes for varyied...

Worth the extra money

I had been going back and forth considering several different flashes for a few weeks, wondering whether I should go with a less expensive Phoenix or the slightly more pricey Nikon SB-600. I have the Nikon D70, and wanted to get into some more professional looking portrait photography, so a...

Worth the money.

Performs very well, easy to use, recycle times are amazing. I've been punishing this thing for thousands of shots and it doesn't miss a beat. I've not used the SB800 or 900 so I can't compare, but this is definitely a good piece of kit.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/unethkl/2948099368/sizes/l/Here is a quick example of a very fast setup done with 3x SB-600's, and a SU-800 wireless commander on a D700 body using a 24-70mm FX Nikkor lens (setup in 5-7 minutes with stands and umbrellas purchased here on amazon, took 10 minutes worth...

Wow. perfect results.

I used the SB-600 mounted on my D80 for a job consisting of seven football teams with around twenty players each. I took individual as well as team photos. The day changed from overcast to sunny. The TTL metering worked great, plus, I got through the shoot on my 1st set of batteries. All of the...

A Starter Flash

This is a good basic i-ttl Nikon flash. The SB-600 is a very basic flash that once it is connected to a Nikon camera the two communicate with each other.I won't go into all the functions and features others have done that and very well I might add. You slide the flash on the camera and turn both...
