PROS: Good size, feel. Big LCD screen. Good sound if subject is close to camera.
CONS: This thing is pretty much chained to the docking system that came with it. Can't re-charge or download without it and it doesn't seem to fit into the dock as well as it should. Also, the dock has a large footprint. Proprietary file format sucks too.

PROS: 1920x1080i high-definition video, additional memory stick slot for hybrid recording, performed above average in low light conditions, shares most of the same features as its premium-priced siblings
CONS: Its rivals in the entry-level HD space are significantly cheaper
