PROS: Lots of output options for viewing recorded pictures or video, in HD if required. 16 x zoom. Great daytime picture quality. Nice design with easy to reach buttons. Lots of options when recording to enhance playback.

CONS: If its quite dark picture quality can suffer slightly. Battery included runs out far too quickly and needs changing. Memory card included is 4Gb and needs upgrading to AT LEAST 8Gb.

PROS: Beautiful videos, great audio... at first.

CONS: After just over a hundred videos, the HF10 stopped transferring to the computer. Archiving also failed. Camera was returned to Canon, which deemed it defective, and a replacement was authorized. The replacement failed right out of the box.

PROS: Size, hard drive capacity, easy to use navigation, quick set up.

CONS: Almost too small. If you have large hands, you will have difficulty with the buttons. The software that comes with it is pretty terrible. You should/need to invest in a quality after market video editing software.

PROS: It's small enough and light enough with a big drive. That is it.

CONS: No mic input. Only USB output. Stupid user interface, designed most likely by an ape. Aweful sound recording, Software is useless. I've tried for 2 days to try and burn a dvd, and i finally did it , but it wont play on a computer dvd player.

PROS: Easy import to iMovie '09, large flash memory allows you to store hours of video on it, 3 hours of battery life, great zoom (48x), compact & lightweight

CONS: Mediocre video quality (but it doesn't fill up your hard drives as much as HD video so this can also be a pro), image stabilizer isn't very effective, still photos are really grainy
