i got it at STAPLES in january 2007, before they changed their 110% pricematch policy in september. it cost me about $200!! i use sony tapes, which have been fine. like a tape player, you can ruin these tapes if over used...so download...

I would keep this camera,except for the less than stellar performance in low light conditions and the terribly annoying motor whine which pervades the audio recording. If you are at all sensitive to the sound quality, beware
