This product did not work for me. The first powerpack would not charge from the AC Charger 5 because supposedly the battery sat too long on the shelf and became totally dead. I was sent a replacement and that one did the same thing after it tried to charge for a minute or so. I returned both...

pro's and con's
I use the power pack as backup in my truck, so I don't have to drain the starting batteries. I thought that 1500 watt inverter would be plenty. First complaint is that the battery is only 51ah. Basically it will run 40 watts for 9 hours , so you can watch t.v for 9 hours it has a dc outlet so you...

excellent portable electric power
While this provides an excellent alternative to getting 120vac power away from civilization, the purpose for which we bought this was to supply power to a desktop computer, lcd screen, and scan gun at work. The power only lasted about 2 hrs on that configuration. Perhaps it would work longer...

Do not buy!
This is the second 1500 I purchased. I returned the first one and now the second one is working. I own two of the 600's which outperform the 1500. Very disappointed with this product. Buyer beware!

List price is $369, not $449
Amazon lies, the list price is almost $100 less than they advertise on here. This unit is great if you take care of it (ie DO NOT GET IT WET) and use an automatic transfer switch (if you are using it for sump pump backup).

Ready when I need it
I like this product because we get a lot of power outages in Southfield, Michigan. Our power pack is ready when we need it and it doesn't annoy the neighbors (or us) with loud obnoxious noise and fumes. We even bought a second one. Someday we'll step up to the solar charger kit that goes with it....
