I bought this cable as a replcament for the standard cable supplied with my Sony HDR HC1 HDV camcorder. It is longer that the standard cable and is significantly better quality. I recommend this over the standard cables.

PROS: This was very easy to install, requires nothing more than connecting to the DVI port and hooking up the monitor. That way I was able to use my video card with two monitors, one connected to the the VGA port and one connected to the DVI port. Very well bui
CONS: It takes up a bit of space behind the computer when it is installed and a monitor cable connected (about 4-5 inches) making my computer stick out from my desk a little further than I had hoped. Other than that, it works perfectly.
