"Vista 64 + Quickbooks = NO GO"

Just to spare you guys some wasted time here. My QB Pro 2007 and 2008 do not work on Vista 64. It simply crashes on startup without error. One can find a lot of references to this on this website. I spent two hours with a friendly support representat

CONS: It doesn't start and support blames Microsoft, whereas Microsoft clearly states this is not an error.

Amazon was the place to buy Quickbooks 2008. Their price beat QB central by $130.
Technical service by Quickbooks with a problem which was discovered after the upgrade has been terrible. Even after hours on the phone with overseas support...
