Linksys 10Mbps Ethernet100Mbps Fast Ethernet1Gbps Gigabit Ethernet Wireless Router

The WRVS4400N Gigabit Security Router offers next-generation Wireless-N speeds while maintaining compatibility with older devices. The router's "multiple-in, multiple-out" (MIMO) technology extends its range and performance. The WRVS4400N incorporates advanced security features to keep your network safe from external threats like viruses, spyware, and hacker attacks. Offsite workers can access your network through a secure and easy-to-use virtual private network (VPN) function.outer that features a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch. By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's "Multiple In, Multiple Out" (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate resulting in greater throughput and coverage over 802.11g. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. At the same time, Wireless-N is backwards compatible with Wireless-B and -G devices.  more

"Solid performer with great range"

Must upgrade firmware to achieve best result. Overall, for it's price, it is a solid performer especially in the mix mode and long range. I used this router in 3,500 sqft area getting strong receptions throughout the house. The signal...

"BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID"

Stay away from this wireless router, and probably anything else with the Linksys name on it! Cisco support is so convoluted, only a professional government procurement officer would have a chance finding their way through the maze Cisco...

"Generally positive problems with VISTA VPN connections."

Good unless you plan for users to make VPN connections. Since most new laptops come with VISTA, this will be a problem. Avoid the issue by choosing a different router. Cisco tech support suggested two 3rd party VPN clients -- no joy...

Awesome!!

Been using these routers in several installs and never had a problem. One of the few routers that can be used with wireless touchscreen in an automation system.

A business-orientated router with average performance The WRVS4400N is squarely aimed at businesses and manages to tick a surprising number of boxes for its price. Not only does it offer VPN and VLAN support, but it also has four Gigabit...
