Great After Two Years+

Purchased in April 2007 after employer went VPN. No choice for cable as live too far out of town. Qwest DSL too unreliable. Has worked very well with my Sprint 595 card on Verizon. Suggestion would be to upgrade firmware right off the bat and turn do

It works as advertised. Glitches happen.

Hi All,I've had this thing for a couple of years. I use it with Verizon Wireless service and a PCMCIA adapter. It's fine. It works. Glitches? Yep, it flakes out on you now and then.Problems mostly seem to stem from Verizon's service in my case. I've noticed increasingly flakey behavior...

"WARNING--DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY"

Completely unreliable (extremely high failure rate) piece of hardware. Save your money and purchase something that will last more than a few hours of operation--so far two out of four have failed within six weeks and only a few hours of operation.

would not work with verizon card

I tried to get two of these to work with the Verizon pc5750 card without success even after updating the software. I ended up buying the Linksyswireless-g router for mobile broadband (wrt54g3g-vn)which works well and was priced less. The Linksys did require a software update from the Linksys...

Excellent Performance

I am an active storm chaser and use this router with my Kyocera 1xEVDO Passport card with U S Cellular. We have been able to share the internet between several laptops in our storm van, going up and down the highways and backroads of Iowa. Have used this Dlink router and setup for two years...

"Great router!"

I've had this router about a year and got it when my Top Global MB8000 quit working. I'd have to say it works better than the Top Global unit. I have it installed in my semi, Ethernet connected to my computer which is running the camstreams encoder.

Works very well. Just know what you need before purchase.

I'm not sure why so many people are hyperventilating about this product. It works just fine, better than the Kyocera model in fact. Be sure to check the supported cards and also ensure that the firmware on the unit is the newest firmware so as to not have compatibility issues. If you just want...

Got 2 sent to me and both where faulty

Received 2 different units and both where faulty. Spent hours on the phone with D-Link support. Save yourself the time and effort, just get a cellular router from someone other than d-link.

"Completely unstable"

I purchased this router because it was the cheapest at the time. I soon found out that I got exactly what I paid for... an unstable little box of plastic and silicon. The D-Link DIR-450 works OK when it isn't having problems. Unfortunately, it has pr

poor quality

The box and the product shellcase were labeled DIR-450. In reality I received a DIR-451. I ended up sending it back after wasting much time trying to solve the problem. Quality control at this company is very poor and the technical help isn't much better. This product deserves no rating in my...
