This was THE best group of the sixties. Mel & Tim was an ufforgettable duo that stormed the sixties with a unique style of music that stood out from the rest. Who can forget "Backfield in Motion", "Mail Call Time", I'm Your Puppet", and all the rest. I was in college during their music career...

BackField in Motion
I met Mel some thirty plus years ago on my first surf trip "off the mainland" to Hawaii. We all partied together while staying at the same dumpy hotel and Mel would usually wind up singing Backfield in Motion (pre-release back in 1967) after having a few belts of whatever we might be consuming....
