Richard Marx - Greatest Hits
It's telling that Richard Marx broke into the music business singing backup vocals for Lionel Richie and writing songs with Kenny Rogers and Chicago, for he kept to the straightforward, middle-of-the-road approach of those acts once he became a recording artist in his own right--not that there's anything wrong with that. A dependable hitmaker throughout the late '80s and early '90s, Marx scored with rockers ("Don't Mean Nothing," "Should've Known Better"), and ballads ("Right Here Waiting," "Endless Summer Nights") alike. Greatest Hits collects those songs as well as the lion's share of his high-end chart action--of which there was plenty, proving that a devotion to craft sometimes pays off better than fickle inspiration. --Daniel Durchholz more

A very good collection
I have always liked Richard Marx. I bought his first two CDs when they were originally released. Then, my taste in music changed. I'm glad I came back to this collection with some really great songs.

A Trip Down Memory Lane
Richard Marx was the first pop artist I saw in concert and listening to this Greatest Hits CD brings back all the memories of that amazing night. These are the songs you dreamed of girls to, kissed girls to and danced with girls to in the '80s and early '90s. The music is emotional and moving...

These are the greatest!
I loved Richard Marx when I was a teenager, and listening to this album makes me remember why! All of the hits I expected, plus a few I wasn't as familiar with, but love just as much now that I've listened to them. The thing I especially like about this CD is that the liner notes are written by...

All of your favorites are here!
I attended both high school and college in the 80s, and I have to admit, Richard Marx holds a special place in my heart. I remember the summer of 1989, when then-boyfriend (now husband) and I were five hours apart, and the song "Right Here Waiting," with its opening lyric of "Oceans apart, day...

Since changing all my cassettes to cd's, I couldn't wait to get my cd. There's one song "Coming Back" I could listen to 24/7. Since being with Amazon for quite some time now, I've really enjoyed one-stop shopping when looking for the best deals and hard to find music. CD was in great condition
