Woodlink Flicker House
Entice flickers to nest in the shelter of the Woodlink Flicker House. Because flickers and other varieties of woodpeckers like to excavate their own homes in decaying trees, this house comes with a bag of wood chips. To draw these birds to the Flicker House, spread some of the wood chips in the bottom of the structure to simulate the soft crumbling bark of a dying tree. The sloping roof of the house sheds water and overhangs the house's entrance, and the recessed floor also helps keep the dwelling dry. Positioned just under the roof, a ventilation slot provides temperature regulation. A ladder on the inside of the front panel makes it easy for fledglings to climb out when it's time to leave the nest. This front panel opens for convenient cleaning and observation and closes with an easy to use latch. Give flickers a roosting and nesting option by mounting the Woodlink Flicker House high up in a tree or to a post and enjoy the sights and sounds. Handcrafted in the USA. . . Opening: 2.5" dia.. Dimensions: 12.5"L x 8.75"W x 20"H. Mounting: post or tree mount. Construction: cedar more
