This battery is total trash. After two months, it holds a charge for about 30 minutes then fades to nothing in seconds. Not worth the extra money: you're better off getting two regular batteries and keeping them charged.

PROS: Size. Ease of use. Sharp video quality (except in low light). Excellent zoom. Excellent still pic quality (for 1.3mp). Still pics saved to SD card instead of tape. Good battery life.
CONS: Doesn't come with firewire cable. Doesn't come with blank tape. Neckstrap too thin and uncomfortable.

PROS: Size and weight are light, the features are awesome considering the size. It has a stereo Mic input so you can use it as a sound recorder. It also has an analog to DV pass though feature to convert & record old analog 4:3 video, integrated lens cap.
CONS: I have a weird error after about a year of heavy use. The recording light is constantly blinking even when its off. The workaround for this is to pull the battery then switch the cam to the mode (CAM or VCR) of your choice, then put the battery in.
