At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Review of Canon MVX30i
The Canon MVX30i is a good quality camera - real value for money. I would recommended this camera to anyone, novice or expert.
PROS: Excellent all round camera - terrific close still pictures moving the camera to the object rather than zooming in and excellent video footage.
CONS: Can be a bit awkward to handle at the beginning as it is a tall camcorder rather than the conventional shape, but you soon adapt.

The first thought we had as we unpacked the Canon MVX30i was 'wow'. Small and light, with a smart silver case, this DV camcorder is certainly eye-catching. Priced at over ??1,000, the MVX30i is clearly aimed at those who take their video seriously. T
PROS: Great video and stills picture quality; good looking.
CONS: Fiddly to use; bottom loading.
