Great for Med Students
This book is great for understanding bugs from a clinical perspective. It is concise enough to read easily, and thorough enough for the boards. I don't personally utilize mnemonics, but if you are someone who does, you'll find this book loaded...

Good Review!
I used this book in addition to the lectures on micro in medical school. It was a good supplement and uses weird pictures and pneumonics to help you remember a lot of the basics. It helped me tremendously.

If you're intimidated by Microbiology, then this book serves as a great introduction. I was called to teach a graduate level microbiology course, which is very different than the specialties I normally teach. I'd never taken a microbiology course...

Good if you learn well with humor
An excellent book to review microbiology as well as antibiotics, antivirals, antifungals. The illustrations are great and some are quite humorous. This text book would also make a good supplement for learning microbiology during normal course...
