I got this for my son when he was 6 months old. He loved it and we never had any problems with safety. It does hold a lot of water so you have to make sure to empty it out and rinse it before storing it.

The idea is good...but it does not sit well on oblong toilets. The adjustable step is a great feature as my sons feet could not reach the other step stools we have used before we bought this apparatus.
Would recommend with round toilet only.
