Replacement lamp came with complete instructions on how to properly install. Product was packaged extremely well to protect integrity ofthe lamp during shipping.

Sony's are Excellent

In the 2 1/2 years I've owned my Sony 70" XBR I've replaced the bulb twice. The original Sony bulb became dim after about 4000 hours. The manual said it would do this in 2000 hours. When I replaced it, the TV brighened up like it was new again. The Laptops for Less after market bulb was dim like...

Junk

I purchased this in 10/06, replaced again 11/06. Merchant did credit back for replacement. 1/07 new lamp went out again.

Quality vs. Life

This bulb is rated to last UP TO 2000 hrs. The trade-off with this bulb is that the colors do not fade/change throughout its useful life. The bad part is you'll be watching your favorite movie and with no warning this thing will implode. I'd like to keep a few bulbs handy, if they didn't cost...
