Great idea but give it enough time to work!
We're planning on visiting France someday so I got these CDs just as a "get started" project. I have a 20 minute drive to work everyday so I play these and I'm surprised that I'm actually retaining what I'm learning. I wouldn't mind if it worked...

Better with Behind the Wheel French
Learn in Your Car French is a good course. The speaker sounds somewhat North African as opposed to true native French, but that doesn't stop you from benefiting from the course.
