First of all, I only gave it 4 stars because there are no conversion utilities. At least on a PC, you can only produce a large WAV file, you have to find some other product to convert it to a smaller, exchangeable format (MP3). iTunes...

This product is great for transfering your cassette collection to CD. Unlike other products out there, there is no microphone recording involved. Make all of the background noise you want - none of it gets picked up in the recording....

PC audio hardware these days is, for most purposes, very good. Any dirt cheap sound card gives you high enough output quality for music listening, and these days they usually also support 3D positional audio and other frills....
