Grace (Eventually): Thoughts on Faith
At Smarter.com, we aim to ensure we give you the most sound buying advice possible. With our 'Cumulative Product Rating' system, in order for a product to receive a rating score, it must have a minimum number of ratings to qualify.
This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

Familiar territory
I've read almost everything Lamott's written. I loved Bird by Bird and Traveling Mercies. But Plan B made me think she'd run out of material, and Grace (Eventually) has me convinced. That so much of her work is autobiographical is becoming...

Grace redux, eventually
I am a long-time Anne Lamott fan, but lately her work has been revisiting (revising?) the same-old, same-old. In her third attempt to tap the well of her developing spirituality, the well has nearly run dry. Most of the experiences she uses to...

Always a breath of fresh air
This book, like the others, will make you laugh in recognition of the humanity we share. I, of course, really like Anne Lamott's writing.

A Mellower Lamott
I loved Anne Lamott's early work, but in the past years, her animosity and anger, coupled with her unapologetic self-absorption, had scared me off. I picked up this book with the understanding that Lamott had mellowed a bit, and I was happy to...

Threw the book out
It doesn't surprise me that this is a popular book. It comes from the "whatever is right in your own eyes theology". Probably the worst money I have ever spent on a book. I couldn't throw it away fast enough.

Funny and profound
Anne Lamott is honest and engaging. This book is a beautiful testament to a real life lived in faith and hope in the midst of inevitable disappointments and hardships.

Grace (Eventually) thoughts on Faith
I bought this book thinking I would get an inspiritial read. Instead I found that the title totally misrepresented the book. This is nothing but a self-centered, self-indulgent, whiny bunch of writings from a drug user/alcoholic, over age hippy,...

No thank you, no good.
I read another one of Anne's books. The first one I did not like much, and really did not want to read this one, but when you already own it, you feel you must with 16 dollars into the book. It was some repeating of stories I really did not like...
