Right On!
This album rocks! My husband has been starting to listen to country (augh! help!)after 42 yrs of listening to the same rock & roll. This album brought him back! We're both so stocked and sorry it took so long to get turned on to it! It gets you moving! Love it! You gotta get it!

Hot and Nasty
This was my first concert back in 1973. I got this for my husband for Christmas so he could remember that concert. Great music from the 70's.

KICKASS CLLECTION of BOA
This is probably the very best "best of" to be released by anyone ,really.I would of liked "white-headed woman"& maybe "backdoor man"included. But Black Oak had so many great songs you can't put em all on."Gettin Kinda Cocky"is another one.I could sit here and name off 2or3 cds worth of great...

Great Single-Disc Best-Of On BOA
HOT & NASTY is a great single-disc best of on Black Oak Arkansas, arguably the funkiest, grittiest, most psychedelic band ever to come out of the South during the 70s. The band lacked the musical finesse of the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, the Outlaws, .38 Special, or...

My boys My boys
What a bunch of wild styles. I grew up in the same Paragould/Jonesboro area as these young men did. They were "a little unusual" in a time and place where unusual was definately not embraced. We were pretty sure Mangrum was an alien but we could never find his spaceship. They first recorded...

I HOPE THEY MAKE A SERIOUS COMEBACK
Leave it to RHINO to put out a best of BLACK OAK ARKANSAS compilation. I remember seeing these boys in the 70's, many times, on network shows like DON KIRSCHNER'S ROCK CONCERT, and ABC's IN CONCERT. They were on TV almost every weekend. Jim Dandy was a maniac with that sweaty blond hair flyin'...

World's best live rock & roll band
First time I saw these guys was at the Celebration of Life festival in middle Louisana in 1971. They started off their show with "A Big One's Coming". I was never the same. They used the whole stage for their show. After that, I saw them several times at the "Warehouse" on Toulouse street in New...

Black Oak was neat
The greatest musicians they were not, but just the same, you had to love these guys. I saw them live probably three times in Charleston, SC, and they were always up and ready to rock and roll. One night after one of their shows we saw their bus outside this diner in downtown Charleston and we...
