Pretty Dark
Flick Of The Switch, Back In Black, and this one ..."For Those About To Rock" were my first AC/DC albums I was exposed to in the early 80's. Of those 3 this one stands out just as much as Back In Black for me. So many anthems, and it's good to listen to in the fall around Halloween for songs such...

Music to drive your car too
This is a great CD and a nice follow up to Back in Black. I remember driving home from college listening to this CD (tape) and making time (and the car) go faster. The title track is an awesome example of how to use cannons as instruments.

The skies alight with the guitar bite...
The enormous success of 'Back in Black' demanded a follow up full of equally momentous hard rock anthems, so AC/DC along with Mutt Lange (for one last time) tried to recreate the magic of 'BnB' and released 'For Those About to Rock We Salute You' in November of 1981. It was a letdown but it's...

for those about to rock... pick up one of their earlier efforts
AC/DC was either really burnt out from the success of Back in Black, surprised by the success, or just used up all their ideas for that album, because this follow-up album is lackluster in comparison. The title song, with its loud, fierce guitar riff and soaring chorus is about the only worthwhile...

One of my favorite AC/DC albums (Brian Johnson era)
"For those about to Rock" might not be a fan favorite (such as Back in Black) but I think it acutally a better album. I loved "Back in Black" when I first heard it, but it I grew bored of it over time. Now I am only basing this comparison on the fact that I played "Back in Black" to death, yet I...

Not Their Finest Moment (3.5 stars, really)
While not nearly as strong as its immediate predecessor, 1980's Back in Black, AC/DC's For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) is still a fully enjoyable bit of rock n' roll. Their second album with Brian Johnson on vocals opens with what has become a band classic, the title track "For Those...

Evil Walks
This is a great album! True it didn't sell like Back In Black, but, no other album really has.. You gotta love "Put the Finger On You", "Evil Walks", "C.O.D.", "Inject the Venom", "Snowballed" and you can't forget the title track which is one of the true great rock songs of all time!!! And a true...

AC/DC get depressed; their next to-last semi-great studio album
After the celebratory vibe of Back In Black, AC/DC had their work cut out for them with this follow-up to one of rock 'n' roll's most classic albums. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as great as Back In Black -- how could it be? But what's interesting is the way the spirit of the songs are so...

For Those About To Rock, you'll want this CD...
AC/DC's "For Those About to Rock -- We Salute You" is another of their exceptional works that has the more than memorable rock anthem title track. This is what makes AC/DC tick, heavy power chords within a melodic context that make for good radio airplay. While the other songs on this CD are...
