FORBIDDEN AC/DC!!!

When this album was origionally released, AC/DC was virtually unknown in the U.S. With only one other album under their belt, DIRTY DEEDS was recorded in the same vain as HIGH VOLTAGE. High energy rock and roll only the way AC/DC can do it. The lyrics this time around, however, proved to be too...

Not a big AC/DC fan

but this is a good record. It's dynamic. "Dirty Deeds" & "Ride On" are my favorites. AC/DC [like most bands] was better when they were young. Bon Scott had a firmer grasp on the human condition than Brian Johnson, though both wrote a lot of songs about poon, ballzzz, getting drunk, & not being...

Not a punk album but pretty close

The original version of this brilliant album came out in Australia in 1976. I was just a nipper living in Melbourne Australia, where AC/DC were based at the time, when i first heard this album. I use to see and hear AC/DC alot on music shows like Countdown and even in the news as they were...

My personal favorite AC/DC album

One thing that is great about Dirty Deeds and AC/DC in their early years is that they seemed more willing to try new things and most of the time it worked. The main reason I like this one the best is because not many(maybe 2) of the songs sound the same and they are all great. A little history...

Must Own Classic Rock !

4 and a HALF stars"A CUSTOMER" pretty much hit the nail on the head, very good review. I would only like to add that the start of the editorial review is an insult: "While Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap sounds like every other AC/DC album..." yes there is some merit in this review but not a lot....

American release duds the listener...7/10

I used to own this title on cassette, years ago. The other week I bought a new cd for $10 and after listening to it, I was wondering why it didn't seem the great album I remembered it being. Having just looked up this album on Wikipedia, I now know the reason...one of the all time great AC/DC...

AC/DC's best

I grew up occasionally listening to AC/DC, always in the background from friends playing it at school or in a car. It never stood out to me. Now at 41 I rediscovered this old band and like it a lot. I especially like listening to it while weight lifting. "Back in Black" and "Dirty Deeds" are...

Bon and the Boys Ride On

A fantastic piece of dirty, barroom rock n' roll, served up by the masters, AC/DC. This album has a lot of great tracks, from the title track, a tale of murder for hire, to the energetic "Rocker," to the albums real highlight, "Ride On," where the band emotionally plays some slowed down blues...

Solid heads down heavy rocker

A low four stars here for this release as the band continue to refine their heads down boogie metal approach, still taking time for diversions and excursions which mean that this album is less focused than the later pairing of Highway to Hell and Back in Black. However this album should not in any...
