"Absolutely disgusted. real rating = negative 10"
Avoid like the plauge, don't use it at all. Use PC Decrappifier to completely uninstall it or otherwise the personal firewall component will still show up as running.
PROS: None, nothing remotely worth mentioning.
CONS: Nag, nag, nag, It's a system resource hog, and even an uninstall doesn't completely get rid of it.

"customer service is a joke!"
After five downloads and to much of my time I still have only a trial version, and I did follow all instructions. I also informed McAfee that I would like my money refunded and nothen yet. Rip off artist

"It slows the system down"

"Reinstallation was horrendous"
I recently reinstalled XP on my machine and was disappointed that I had to use McAfee's download manager to install something so crucial to my system. Then Security Center kept reporting that VirusScan was not installed properly and to install again.
PROS: Works well when you get it up and running.
CONS: Good luck getting it up and running.

I spent $100 to fix what McAfee broke.
I've used McAfee before and was very pleased. That was until this version. I don't understand all the technical stuff, but suffice it to say before installing McAfee my Palm Treo synced without any problems and my IM programs worked flawlessly....
