Complete Discography
Fugazi fans already know that this is the original gospel according to Ian MacKaye. This Washington, D.C., quartet hit harder, faster, and franker than just about anybody--and were willing to see through their own bull as quickly as anyone else's. MacKaye manages to be charismatic and confrontational at the same time: tossing brilliant, genuinely funny asides into his serious-as-a- heart-attack lyrics. Meanwhile, the band, led by Lyle Preslar's staggering guitar attack, pushes MacKaye on with the tightest, most razor-sharp sound in all of hardcore. Nothing in the punk pantheon can come close to "In My Eyes," "Out of Step," or "Salad Days." Absolutely essential. --Michael Ruby more

Gets You Fired Up
This classic hardcore release needs more reviews, it should have about 500 or more like other classic bands I think.I am totally into old school hardcore punk, and Minor Threat, Black Flag, Fear, D.R.I (early), Circle Jerks, Germs, Bad Brains, and Dead Kennedy's are essential listening for early...

Music is GREAT, Compilation is even GREATER!
I'm gonna be very short. Take it from me: songs such as "Straight Edge", "In My Eyes", and "Filler" are major standouts here, but every song is gold and all deserve the best. If you're a Minor Threat completist, then I suggest you buy this alongside the other couple MT records, but if you're a...

Life Changing
It might sound cliche, but yeah, this album changed my life. Until I bought this (a couple months ago) I hadn't really given old-school punk or hardcore much of a fair shot. I was never impressed with the music, and the lyrics were always too immature and self-centered. This was probably the...

Hard , Fast, and Loud...the way your mom wants you to be.
Bad Brains were first...Teen Idles were not yet Minor Threat, but Minor Threat surpassed Bad Brains. Discography great, their ability great, execution great. Hardcore, but not mindless violence, straight edge, but not obnoxiously self righteous. Brian Baker is awesome on Bass and or guitar....

Depends on how you look at it...
For me this album had all the meaning that a really good book can have, inasfar as I feel it changed my life. It showed clearly, and with perfect sincerity, how one could regain a relatively stable, morally sound life out of the MTV-Morass that American culture had become (and still is). And all...
