Black Bells
Atlanta-based Sleep Therapy releases its highly anticipated debut CD "Black Bells". This band is definitely something very different and destined for great things. Imagine a surreal background of masterfully blended guitar work joined with vocals provided by lead vocalist John Lally that, as one writer put it, "....with an early Cure, Robert Smith howl that will send shivers down your spine". What does Sleep Therapy sound like? The answer is as diverse as the audience. Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure, Interpol and even the Trail of the dead are some of the comparisons made by the media and fans. All seem to agree that the band is "something big waiting to happen". Released in 2004, Sleep Therapy's first EP entitled "Trail of Motion" received high praise by the critics and led the band back to the studio to record their first full length CD. From the powerful, wall-of-sound" cuts like "Sing" and "Behind Closed Doors" to the hypnotic "Trail of Motion", it's a sure thing you'll be playing this CD over and over again only to find something new each time. more
