This system is not intended to diminish the value of products with a low number of ratings and reviews, they're great, and hopefully very helpful, but if you want our advice, we want to make sure that the product you're thinking of buying has been rated and reviewed by enough shoppers like you to be a valuable indicator of product quality.

From: Amazon Posted: Jul 08, 2008 Type: User Review The Open Door by Evanescence

The band brings back all it's power in it's second album released in the US with the Open Door. The lyrics and sound move up to a whole new level of power and depth.

From: Amazon Posted: Jun 26, 2008 Type: User Review Whew! Angst

Not many people do music like this anymore; you know the over the top heavy metal grunge hybrid that was so popular with kids in the late 90s, Live is gone, Candlebox has been snuffed out and yet Evanescence not only continues to do this type of...

From: Amazon Posted: May 31, 2008 Type: User Review Better than "Fallen"

"Fallen" is a great album, and "The Open Door" picks up where it's predecessor left off. A creative blend of melodic elements, grinding guitar, Amy Lee's piano work, stunning vocals and murky lyrics work very well to make the band's best effort...

From: Amazon Posted: May 07, 2008 Type: User Review This Album REALLY stinks!

I REALLY wish I had read the comments before purchasing.

From: Amazon Posted: May 01, 2008 Type: User Review Ok... just not what I would usually go for

The style of The Open Door was definintely different from that of Fallen and Anywhere But Home... the songs tended to be more depressing than usual and in the case of some, with more of a heavy metal style. Personally, I preferred the style of...

From: Amazon Posted: Apr 12, 2008 Type: User Review Granddaughter loves it

Personally, I'm a Peanuts Whalum fan. Love jazz; smooth jazz..and even the Dixie Chicks. But this is what my granddaughter wanted. So ordered it for her. She is happy! She is particular about what she likes and doesn't like. So if this is...

From: Amazon Posted: Mar 28, 2008 Type: User Review Good but not better

For the Evanescence fans from their CD "Fallen" you'll only be slightly dissapointed. I could listen to every song on "Fallen" but there is only a few where I don't really want to hear. Overall it's a nice cd.

From: Amazon Posted: Mar 19, 2008 Type: User Review classic Evanescence

Moody, bleak, and often despairing, this album takes you to emotional highs and lows right along with Amy Lee. Her piano must be sad. But then again, that's what makes Evanescence the band it is.
