Mutter
This German industrial-metal machine has proven itself to be quite popular, with their engaging, potent brand of electronic-enhanced guitar rock and outlandish stage shows appealing to everyone from young teens to fortysomethings. (Their last studio release, 1998's Sehnsucht, went gold in the U.S.) On their third studio album, Mutter, the sextet augments its propulsive sound with a live string section and a soprano on a few tracks, while offering two mellower tracks to show their soft side. Even if they're not breaking down major barriers with their latest release, the enigmatic Rammstein should still continue pleasing numerous musical insurgents across the globe. --Bryan Reesman more

- 7 year owner of the album, late to the reviewers' party, but still, WOW!
This is the first Rammstein album I've owned and contains some of the first Rammstein songs I'd ever listened to. Having a taste for alternative rock and some heavy metal, I was studying abroad in München (that's Munich), Germany,...

- Rammstein's third studio album rocks hard
This album is considered by most fans to be their best album so far, and no wonder. It has many great tracks and will make you bang your head, but in the end, you always want more. That's why Rammstein sticks to 11 tracks. All in all,...

- An accomplished and consistant album
I truly love this album. I was first attracted to the band after hearing Sonne on a Kerrang C.D. I would just repeat it and listen to it over and over. I wouldn't consider myself the greatest Metal fan per se, but the bands I do like...

- Third`s the Charm
Rammstein have found a particular, personal place among current rock world, defining a sound and attitude of their own. They mix heavy guitars with techno-oriented elements, gothic atmospheres and experimental electronica. "Mutter",...

- As metal as Linkin Park
Since my review for "Sehnsucht" got deleted, I'll just attack Rammstein's other effort, "Mutter."Rammstein is abyssmal to say the least, their combination of stupid mumbling, lame powerchords, and techno beats creates "metal" for the...
