a classic steve miller album
I would say that next to "Fly like an Eagle" this is the Steve Miller Bands best album. Every song is good and several became big radio hits in the late 70's. I never tire of listening to this album and anyone who is a true fan of this group should own this CD. Although steve miller had other...

Not Like I Remember But Still Listenable
I really liked this album when it came out in the seventies. It is well produced but today sounds dated. One thing that hasn't changed for me though is the fact that Steve Miller's lyrics sound as silly today as they did thirty years. A must though for Steve Miller fans.

Etherial
I remember when this album came out. I was working in a furniture store and when not assembling was delivering all sorts of chairs and tables and so on. I still remember a drive we made in the delivery van that took us on the road for a couple hours. We listened to this album in its entirety....

studio Miller
While live Steve Miller is a LOT better in my opinion (because of his willingness to experiment with creative ways to alter many of his songs) this is still a pretty decent album in its own right."Swingtown" and "The Stake" are the highlights for me, with the dreaminess of the former and the Joe...

Ah, the memories...
I can't hear "Jungle Love" without being transported back to the beginning of the first semester of my second year of college, living in a dorm and hearing this album blasting out of half the rooms on my floor, including my own. My personal favorite Steve Miller album.

Book of Dreams
ESSENTIAL ALBUM!!! It's a hard choice between this album & Fly Like an Eagle as to which one is best. They are so similar it's hard to distinguish them. Steve Miller actually recorded both albums at the same time which explains their similarity. Great songs on this album include "Winter Time",...

The Eagle Returns to Dream
Back in 1976, Steve Miller recorded a batch of songs that were enough to fill two complete albums or make one double length album. He chose to divide the songs into two separate albums that were released in consecutive years: "Fly Like an Eagle" in 1976 and "Book of Dreams" in 1977. Both...

Quite possibly Steve Miller's best album!
Steve Miller's eleventh album Book of Dreams was released in May of 1977.The album was recorded at the same time as its predecessor, 1976's 4 million plus selling Fly Like an Eagle(which hit #3 on the Billboard chart). Most people would have gone the double album route once they recorded 20 plus...
