Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits
Then a holding action while Dylan unloaded his head after his May 1966 motorcycle crash, now a nostalgia merit badge for boomers and a course in Dylan 101 for '90s newcomers, Greatest Hits stands up remarkably well as a listening experience. Smartly programmed to ride all over any residual worries about acoustic-vs.-electric authenticity--in fact, blowing a raspberry in their face by opening with the Salvation-Army-band blast of "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35"--this best-of stacks AM smashes and protest anthems together in celebration of a pop star like no other before. --Rickey Wright more

- The Real McCoy
What can I say except that the man is a genius. After listening to and enjoying the covers on the soundtrack of I'm Not There I was inspired to listen again to the original and was taken on a journey back to my youth.

- 3.5 stars, Great to revisit once in a while, Incredible songwriting
I'm going to take a different approach to reviewing albums on Amazon. Instead of going in depth on each album and describe each album in detail, i'm going to simply rate each album with how many stars I feel each album is worth based on...

- Ten great reasons to become a Dylan fan
It isn't definitive. Not by a long shot. I mean, it only covers the early phase of Dylan's career, starting with a cut from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (1963) and ending with a selection from Blonde On Blonde (1966). And even then, it...

- it really is the greatest
I never defend greatest hits albums, because when it comes to "album bands" or legendary artists, the idea is to collect all their regular studio and live albums, and leave the hit packages in the back of the store shelves where they...

- What IS This? Could Someone Explain It To Me!
I haven't heard anything like this since Ashlee Simpson was on Saturday Night Live. Indeed, I was at one of his concerts and he definitely was lyp syncing. Basically, someone else sings for him in the studio and he pretends to sing on...
