it was alright
good effort on here with the piano in several tracks and fiona's promising voice, but I personally thought she was overrated and there are much better musicians and artists out there who deserve the hype she got from mtv

She's blossoming here...but she hasn't quite bloomed
This album is good, but her other two are vastly superior. Tidal is moody, morose, and sophisticated, but the fact remains that a lot of it is somewhat boring. I do enjoy listening to this when I'm depressed or sad, and it always helps me out....

Fiona has two good apples here.
"Sleep To Dream" and "Criminal" are musically superb. The remainder of the album is filler.

Fiona Apple's best album yet...
... I say yet, because "Extraordinary Machine" is not (legally) out yet. As much praise as her second album ("When The Pawn...") gets, I truly believe that this is better, and also outclasses many of my other favorites.

Nine years later . . . . .
And I would still say this is the best CD I have heard. It just always comes back to Fiona Apple's Tidal. The only song that I MIGHT skip is Criminal that is ONLY because radio ruined it for me! Love this CD!
